Comme des Garcons x Converse

Comme des Garçons and Converse collaborated to come up with four new Chuck Taylor Converse shoes with a different Comme des Garçons twist. Entitled the Comme des Garçons Play For Converse, the collaboration of these two brands was the idea of Rei Kawakubo who adores the Chuck Taylor All-Star model from Converse that was originally released during the 50′s for the U.S. army.

For now we only have a preview of one of the four Comme des Garçons Play for Converse shoe style. It has a white, thick-layered rubber outsoles that extend a little on the front area. The rest of the shoe is colored black, which is made of cloth materials. The lace lock holes and the laces itself are colored white. The side has a small heart-shaped design colored in red with two eyes on its upper part. The four shoes that would soon be released have two high tops and two oxfords.

If you are interested in this product, watch out for its release at the end of the month in Comme des Garçons stores in New York, Paris, London, Hong Kong and Korea, as well as selected retailers. By October, it will be available in U.S., Canada and China. You can have this at the end of August or next month for $100.
